Mauricio García Arboleda

Mauricio is a lawyer graduated from Javeriana University (Bogotá), with graduate studies in Commercial Law from that University and LL.M. studies in Maritime and Transport Law – Erasmus University Rotterdam (The Netherlands). Currently he is undertaking the International Group of P&I Clubs certification programme.

He is an expert in maritime, aviation and transport matters. In his professional experience he has advised important transport companies with presence in Latin America and Europe in contractual, insurance and regulatory matters. He has also participated in relevant litigation in courts and arbitration tribunals in Transport, Insurance, Consumer Law and Liability.

Mauricio has broad experience in commercial and corporate matters and has leaded the incorporation of companies into the Colombian market advising them in Contractual, Corporate and Litigation matters. Before joining the firm, Mauricio worked for well-known law firms in the aviation and commercial fields.

He was honoured with a scholarship of the Erasmus University Rotterdam (The Netherlands) and has published articles and academic works in his areas of expertise. He is a part-time lecturer of International Maritime Commerce at Los Andes University and a regular speaker in local and Latin American forums in matters related with the maritime industry. Mauricio is a member of the board of directors of the Colombian Association of Maritime Law (ACOLDEMAR) and Senior Member of the China-Europe Commercial Collaboration Association.
